Dochula Pass

The most famous viewpoint in Bhutan. On clear days, witness a panorama of Himalayan peaks including Gangkhar Puensum (7,570m), the world's highest unclimbed mountain. The 108 chortens (stupas) at the pass create a mystical atmosphere.

Highest Road Paro to Haa

Chelela Pass

Motion Sickness

Roads are winding with many hairpin bends. Bring motion sickness medication if prone. Sit in front and keep eyes on the horizon.

Travel Time

Distances are short but travel times are long. Average speed is 30-40 km/h. Plan accordingly and enjoy the journey.

Your driver will stop at scenic viewpoints. Best light is early morning and late afternoon. Always look both ways before crossing roads.
