Dochula Pass
The most famous viewpoint in Bhutan. On clear days, witness a panorama of Himalayan peaks including Gangkhar Puensum (7,570m), the world's highest unclimbed mountain. The 108 chortens (stupas) at the pass create a mystical atmosphere.
East-West Highway (Lateral Road)
Bhutan's main east-west highway is one of the world's most dramatic drives. Wind through diverse landscapes from subtropical forests to alpine meadows, crossing multiple passes above 3,000m. The journey reveals remote villages, ancient temples, and stunning vistas at every turn.
Chelela Pass
Bhutan's highest motorable pass offers views of Mount Jhomolhari on clear days. The pass is adorned with prayer flags fluttering in the wind. In spring, the surrounding meadows burst with rhododendrons and blue poppies.
